How Can An Allergic Reaction Affect You

When you have an allergic reaction to something you may experience mild to severe symptoms, depending on the extinct of your allergy. For others, the allergy may be a part of their everyday career and it may not be feasible to switch careers. There are a lot of different allergies and what causes them. Some symptoms of an allergic reaction include:

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Eyes may become swollen, watery, itchy and red
Swelling of the lips, tongue, or around the eyes, including the eyelids
Shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing or tight feeling in the chest
Skin rash, itching, and hives

In some cases, you may not be able to breath, your circulation may become lessened by swelling, you may not be able to swallow or have difficulty and you may pass out. Call emergency help line when you start to experience any allergic symptoms that you feel may be life threatening, especially if you are alone.

When you have your allergic reaction under control you will need to avoid what caused it to begin with. You don't want to experience an allergic reaction anytime soon so it is best to avoid it when possible. If you suffer from an allergic reaction your doctor may make other recommendations for you in order to prevent future allergic reactions.

When you are out visiting or out in public you may need to take extra precaution to avoid causing an allergic reaction.
