Information About Asthma Allergies

Though allergies and asthma are two separate conditions, yet both are related. People
suffering from allergies especially with those that affect their nose and eye are prone to
have asthma. Children whose parents suffer from asthma are also likely to suffer from
asthma allergies, as they will inherit the tendency to develop these conditions.

There are a huge number of people suffering from asthma all over the world. A huge
percent among these people suffer from asthma allergies, but they are not aware of it. To
keep a hold over asthma, patients suffering from this disease must be aware of the fact
whether their asthma attacks are aggravated or they are due to allergens in the
environment.

If the cause of your asthma is not asthma allergies, then it may get severe due to
strenuous exercise, stress, worry and many other triggers other than allergens. On the
other hand, allergic asthma is always set off only when you come into the contact with
allergens, changes in weather, sinus or viral infections.

People who have allergic asthma, the attack of asthma will be a more severe reaction to
an allergen. Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies are released by the bodies of people
having asthma allergies whenever, they come in contact with any kind of allergen like
mold spores, dust or pollen. If you are suffering form allergic only, then the release of
IgE will cause you to have a runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. However, if it is an
allergic asthma, then the release of IgE will increases the inflammation of airways,
coughing and wheezing. You are likely to have a full-blown asthma attack.

Asthma allergies can be substances like dust or pollen; these substances are identified by
the antibody of the IgE type and are attached to the allergen, when the body gets exposed
to it. If it takes place, then a process in the body begins, which leads to the release of
some definite substances in the body. One such substance is histamine that is responsible
for causing allergic symptoms.

To identify possible asthma allergies, you should consult your doctor. It may be other
things besides allergens like cold air or tobacco smoke. You can also get allergy tests
done from an allergist. On finding the asthma allergies, one should avoid these allergens
besides having prescribed medications or allergy shots.

The best treatment for asthma allergies is prevention and they must take the help from an
allergist or immunologist. It is important that they are aware of the cause of asthma; then
only they will be able to keep control over it.
